Vulture reporter talking crap about EW.

Basically, EW got the script Vulture was talking about and confIrmed the Vulture reporting was a lie. Vulture dude doesn’t like it.

Bob replied to me on twitter saying he didn’t even see the movie. He has a right to be upset about the misspelling his name. He should keep the other stuff to himself. This wasn’t even his story the adapted. The Demon Bear arc was drawn by Bill Sienkiewicz. Who loved the cast.

2/5

amazed it cost as much as it did. More entertaining than Dark Phoenix though that’s for sure.

Some poor casting and bad performances. The CGI was actually quite good. It’s very small in scale, yet allegedly cost $100m. The reshoots aren’t obvious, like some films.

The movie has an extremely slow first two acts, before the apocalyptic finish. Surprising, considering the movie is only around 90 minutes.

Is this the final FOX movie, before Marvel Studios takes over?

It’s one of the last three Marvel movies that was produced by Fox before they were bought out by Disney. The other two were Deadpool 2 and Dark Phoenix. So, yes, it’s fair to say that this is officially the end of the Fox Marvel movies.

It could have been worse, but Disney will still lose money on this. Not a lot but still a box office fail. Sad end to the X Men Franchise.

SUrprised that anybody following the history of this movie needed this explainted to them. There were no reshoots, period. Almost everybody felt the film needed them, but both Fox and Disney decided the film was probably doomed , and did not want to throw good money after bad. NM's low budget actually worked against it here. Dark Phoenix had a "too big to fail" factor;with such a huge investment Fox felt compelled to spend money to try to save it. The small investment they had in NM made it expendable.

Going to amusing to see the resident fanboys try to make this into some great success. We are already getting the "critics suck" line from one of them. Which amounts to "How Dare ANybody Not Like Something I like?'.

And, yeah, even if there was no virus I think this would have failed.

But Disney can start figuring how big a tax write off  they can get for this.

Whoops. That was the only way I assumed the budget got so high, if they had to completey re-do the full thing, several times lol.

It looks like it cost $5-10m.

All in one location, terrible acting, terrible script. Every scene begins again with the same outside shot of the building they’re in.
