Fake
Comparing this year's daily jumps/drops to 2007 seems futile, because they are not following the same pattern at all. In 2007, the Monday drops for TF1 and Ratatouille were 55% and 53% respectively, while those for TASM and Brave are 58% and 55% respectively. For Tuesday, I am pretty sure we will be seeing better jumps than 2007 while on Wednesday worse drops.
keysersoze123
I think ASM has done ok. Not great but not bad either. Its solid OD has ensured decent gross at this point. Monday across the board seem to be weak. May be we will see big tuesday increases tomorrow. Let us wait for that and wednesday drops. That will give us a good picture on where it will end.Anyway around 800M WW is nothing to sneeze at.
Darth Homer
Spidey had a good opening because . . . it's Spidey! Legs will be bad because, despite the positive reactions from audiences, there are many people who have no interest in seeing a reboot. When a large percentage of Marvel fans don't care about your Spider-Man movie, that's a bad sign.

Sin Graft
OMG, it's like we're in Bizarro World now, everything is backwards! Baumer has actually become a voice of reason where TASM's BO is concerned... so take note people. Accolades abound, my good man, you are calm, cool, & collected! You set a fine eXample for the rest of us.
RTX
Again, TASM is performing on the lower end of expectations. Just because most people expected it to do poorly doesn't make its performance any better.
Bumblebee
Seems like a lot of people on this forum had TASM pegged: not great, not a bomb just kind of there. Again, TASM is performing on the lower end of expectations. Just because most people expected it to do poorly doesn't make its performance any better. No, but it does make it no surprise. Mango
Spider-Man's drop is less than stellar but far from a nail in the coffin. The film is on track for a $220m+ gross and a hell of a lot more overseas.

Hatebox
I'll say it again: the performance of TASM's sequel will tell us whether it was a successful reboot. Many assume there'll be a massive increase, but that's debatable.
DAR
Can't believe Ted has a serious shot at $200M. It's kind of funny how Seth McFarlane is criticized for being unoriginal yet he has probably the most original film out this summer.
