I ADORED Arrival and Prisoners. Villeneuve is in my top 3 directors and with every new film he continues to amaze me.

Can't wait for this.

He's an amazing director with a full control of mood.

Villeneuve is becoming one of my favorite directors working right now. And to think a few weeks ago i was oblivious of him... 

 

Hopefully Dune doesn't fall through for some stupid reason and gets the greenlight.

Not likely considering:

Orange-haired people are bad guys

 

Women rule the universe

 

Hollywood will deem it timely and want it made ASAP. So the only reason for falling through may be pressure to get it made while politics that it reflect are hot topic.

I do agree with this, when I think outside the superhero/sci-fi genre. When it comes to all genres, Disney takes the cake for me.

Anyway, glad this is getting great hype.

 

I loved the original, it contained was of the greatest endings ever in movie history.

 

I do not think 2049 will contain one of those movie moments, but hopefully it will be as good as it can be.
