Game of Thrones (TV ONLY) [Leaked Spoilers prohibited]

Recommended Posts

I mean, the most blatant fan fictiony moments were the ones I liked the most this season but it's really painfully obvious that D&D are lost without the source material and are unable to make a good show on their own. I'm glad we have to see only 6 more episodes of this.

Don't expect the White Walker stuff to wrap up until the final episode.  The opening scene of the series are the White Walkers, they've always been where the show was heading.

Petty human rivalries and such will definitely get in the way though.

The final thrilling episode of Game of Thrones Season 7 has pulled another record figure for Foxtel.

The 11am broadcast drew a massive 561,000 viewers and the 8:30pm replay was 306,000, a total of 867,000 viewers nationally.

That eclipses both the S7 premiere (799,000) and the S6 finale (737,000).

The 11am broadcast figure includes those who recorded it on their IQ and watched it later -many view it as soon as they get home from work, not prepared to wait for the 8:30 replay. The figure also does not include +2 channels nor those with Foxtel Now.

Sophie Turner was a stand out. She isn't getting enough praise but she carried the Little Fingered scene like a pro. And the "lone wold dies, but the pack survives" line.

Agreed.Well not entirely...

I would give the honor of the MVP to Clarke. She was phenomenal this season. The girl has more expressions just on her eyes than most humans have in their entity.

Turner was great as well though. She has come a long way since S1...both her and Sansa.Personally,i think that Sansa is one of the best characters right now.She is playing the game better than anyone.Yet she still has her heart at a good place.

The Wolf and the Dragon is a much better episode looking back on it.  It's tightly paced and character/drama driven.

Even the incest scene with Jon and Dany plays better, I actually really liked how it molded it and the Rheagar/Lyanna flashback together.  It was poetic, in a sense.

The best part is when Jaime walks out though and the snow begins to fall, giving you the feeling that everything is culminating into one last coming season.

I do think Season 7 as a whole needed another episode's worth of material to flow better, but it's still great in its own right.  I also think it'll flow really well with a binge watch.

Im excited for the day I can watch the entire series straight through when it's completed, because I think it plays better without waiting one week (or one year) between episodes.

I'm not gonna jump into rankings because A) the seasons and even most S7 episodes are all that fresh in my memory to remember, though I definitely push for Season 4 as the best and 5 as the worst (booooooooooring).

But God... I've replayed the Telltale GOT game recently, and it's still really enthralling. Flawed in some areas, and debatably inconsequential (whichever ending you go with, you're fucked anyway, so why bother?), but it definitely grips you with the same desperation and mindgames that the show masterfully exhibits. And I do wish that House Forrester played a greater part in the canon.
