you mean the audacity to make a great story terrible?

I think the issue is Episode 3 broke this show pretty much.

Any issue with this show was always overlooked as something greater was at play in the past.

All the issues in the MCU were overlooked as there was a grander picture and it delivered with IW+EG.

The grand picture in GOT was just a plot device to weaken Danny and Jon Snow to get the Iron Throne.

Make no mistake, the audience is not screaming at the cast and crew (if anything, the cast has already mentioned let down by this season themselves. Both Kit Harrington and Emilia Clarke have said they were disappointed with how things ended for their characters, and Maise Williams has now come out and said Arya should not have been the one to take down the Night King.

Our anger is directed at the showrunners because we feel they are sabotaging the show on purpose for whatever reason. Good think there are spinoffs in the works. Maybe one of them includes the real ending of this show and that season 8 was just a bad vision Bran had.

The actors certainly have that right.  I don’t know how the story ends for Jon and Cersei so I can’t make that judgment. I personally liked that Arya took down the NK

As for thinking that the show runners are sabotaging the show on purpose.  Maybe it doesn’t meet your  expectations, but they or any other film maker don’t gone in with the intention of screwing over the fans

I'm just sitting here stunned that HBO approved that script.  What did they think was going to happen when it aired?  Did they just want to burn all their future money they'll make from merch & home video?  Is this some type of Joker "it's not about the money, it's about sending a message" thing?  Is this an elaborate modern art punk'd piece?

HBO wanted more seasons.  Why didn't they just fire D&D and continue the show without them?    That happens all the time.  This could have been avoided.  Someone fucked up.  Big time.  And I hope they know it.

Like the books have been slowly setting up Mad Dany so that I don't mind. It's actually a good thematic story after all of the "Messiah" consumed by her belief in her own hype and destiny so that nothing else matters and all obstacles must be destroyed no matter the cost.

But her complete heel turn this episode was done in the most crude and unsubtle of ways.

The vaunted Iron Fleet that has magic teleportation powers, has destroyed several enemy fleets, commanded by a plot armored troll, and killed a dragon easily? Wiped out in 1 minute.

The regiment of now super-powered scorpions? Obliterated without much trouble.

The vaunted Golden Company that is hyped up as one of the best fighting forces in the entire world? Wiped out in 30 seconds.

The Lannister army, which is said to be ready to fight to the death for Cersei? Throws down its weapons.

The standing order to keep attacking until the city bells are rung? Stopped the second the bells ring.

So Dany has 100% annihilated the enemy, with barely breaking a sweat, and it will be rather easy to breach the Red Keep and get Cersei. So what does she do? Kill fucking everyone of course, because that's the plot the writers wanted to do and by golly they are going to do it.

See a good writer would have had Danny in a fit of rage attack the Red Keep to kill Cersei and in the process by destroying the Red Keep many die causing a lot of anguish...

However, she does not even go for the Keep ....

She goes around like a murdering lunatic lighting random people on fire and goes beyond anything the maddest of her ancestors did lol...

Its such a drastic and absurd turn of character it just like what the fuck lol
