Didn't he say Rise of Skywalker would be when he retires? Feels like a "I'll believe it when I see it" kinda deal.

I know he said that would be the last Star Wars movie he’d do the score for. I’m not aware of him saying it would be his last movie. He’s 90 anyway, so how much longer can he realistically continue to work?

I recently rewatched "Apocalupse Now" and I had totally forgotten about Ford's short role as US Army officer n the first part of the film.

I am not sure it counts as a cameo, since a cameo is a well known actor taking a small part in a film, and Ford was cast in  Apocalpyse before Star Wars made him a star, althuough the film was not released until well after ANH opened.

And he is the only cast member of the leads of  ANH who made it all the way to becomig a Grade A star. The others never really made it to full scale stardom, Ford did.

I remember rewatching The Conversation recently (another Copploa masterpiece) and had forgotten he was in it. Talk about an icon of cinema.

Yeah, the trailer for this is almost definitely coming next week during Lucasfilms D23 presentation.

Likely not a trailer that will be released publicly yet. It will probably be a GOTG3/AntMan QM situation where it will only be exclusive to D23 attendees but leaked.

However, a title is 100% certain!

So at a recent Hollywood Bowl concert John Williams debuted what’s apparently a new theme for Indy 5, dubbed ”Helena’s Theme”.

Williams still got it. If the movie is as good as this marvelous score, sky is the limit for its box office.

I'd also expect that we get news, either this week or in the coming months, about Disney buying the streaming licenses for the previous 4 movies. Because it's definitely gonna happen, question is how soon before 5 comes out that they do it.

Eh, Paramount would probably rather keep the 4 films on Paramount+.

Putting the first few Indiana Jones films on Disney+ would strike me as a bit awkward, what with the insensitive ethnic depictions and the white people in brownface. I’m not saying Disney should try to tamper with that stuff, but this is the same company that refuses to acknowledge the existence of Song of the South.

Paramount will never give away exclusive streaming rights away , but they often license Star Trek and Mission Impossible to multiple streaming services, but there is no need to for Disney to add them as they are widely available movies

That comparison makes no sense at all. Song of the South has never seen a home video release in the USA, and that's quite a few decades by now.  On the opposite end, there would be nothing awkward about having Indiana Jones on streaming. There are zero similarities between these movis.

There's also a major difference between "refusing to acknowledge the existance" and what Disney is actually doing: not releasing it again. There is nothing that forces a studio to constantly re-release all of their movies on all sorts of platforms.
