Going to be huge. Seeing it Sunday and if WOM is like what initial reports are I think this has a legitimate shot at 175-200.

4-5 multiplier should happen. atleast IMO

Hopefully this means Sci fi is coming back, especially since there are many new Sci fi films coming next year.

 

But is Gravity scifi? Anyone here have an opinion on that?

I’d wait for actual Friday numbers, as early reports tend to be over exaggerated and actual Friday numbers are usually smaller.

That's a very good number for Gravity. That's right in line with "Insidious 2", I mean, that's very strong. Should do 40m easily, looking at reserved seatings, it's looking more like 50m to be honest.

Well, actually it does. Legs means people are enjoying it. Quality is subjective so legs are a great way to define what quality is. The aim of a film is to appeal to the paying customer. Legs is a great barometer for determining that.

I disagree. Just because a film appeals to a lot of peope doesn't mean it's a "quality" movie.
