The angle they used for that running sequence made me laugh.

 

Unfortunately, I can see this doing poorly like Pan, In the Heart of the Sea, or The Legend of Tarzan. I'm noticing a trend when it comes to making movies about (or based on) characters who are at least partially public domain entities. I don't see this one faring any better than the rest. It might do well in Europe, but that's about it.

The KA trailer just surpassed 10m views on FB and 18m on YT+FB combined. It is doing very very well. Still well ahead of Doctor Strange or Kong: Skull Island (both with around 14m combined views).

The biggest thing this lacks for Ritchie though isn't abs or Vs... it's RDJ who made all that wacky shit in Holmes work far better than it had any right to.
