The more I see of it, the more I go "This is not for me." I get going meta and don't dislike it, but the jokes aren't landing besides Barbie and Ken going to the pen.

"Looks cute" is the perfect description for this. Not expecting numbers that rival the biggest movies of the year but it'll definitely do well with its main demos (young girls and their mothers) and, given how barren August through the early fall look to be, should have some strong staying power for a while.

Looks ... unfunny. The flat foot joke taking up 30 seconds and not landing. Story feels like a second-rate Enchanted or Nightmare Before Christmas type scenario where she escapes to another world.

Trailer made me more excited for it but might have made me more skeptical box office wise, clearly going a little more adult in terms of humor and themes than expected.
