DAJK
I'm sick of having not a lot of breakout hits, I'm starting to miss those legendary bombs... all we seem to be getting are those "barly breaks even" at the box office.
stripe
9m, weak OD as I thought The 25m ow could bring this to anywhere between 80m to 100m Dom. Not good, but neither a disaster

junkshop36
That's kind of, meh lol Never really looked all that interesting and I never heard anyone mention wanting to see it. Ridley better not screw up that Blade Runner sequel.
DAJK
2015 will change the mood for sure. 2014 dchedule looked do boring months before it started The problem is 2014 had potential for some nice break out hits, but hardly any of them actually, well, broke out.
Ezen Baklattan
Top Five had a higher PTA than Exodus. Hm.
Mojoguy
25M? Awful. How does FOX keeps throwing money at Ridley Scott? I fully blame the marketing for not making Exodus look more interesting.
narniadis
Exodus is reminding me of that Day the Earth Stood Still remake from a few years ago. Meh opening and overall meh performance that wasn't a total bomb.
grim22
Exodus is reminding me of that Day the Earth Stood Still remake from a few years ago. Meh opening and overall meh performance that wasn't a total bomb. Thanks to Jupiter Ascending moving, and OS box office, this year has had no outright bombs (maybe Trascendence), but on the flip side this year has had no mega blockbuster either. Meh opening and overall meh performance that wasn't a total bomb. Yep, 100% agree. Both have the same exact release date and poor reviews.
Frozen
I fully blame the marketing for not making Exodus look more interesting. I thought the marketing was pretty good for this film. I've seen a ton of commercials and each made the film look interesting. They seemed to have spent quite a lot.
filmlover
I think some need to accept that it's likely going to be a while until there are breakout hits of any kind. When the product is or looks limited in appeal (or just unappealing for the most part), audiences will just find other things to do with their time and money.
Gopher
Reviews killed it. Whitewashing probably didn't help its cause either.
Frozen
I think Scott and Bale's interviews hurt it as well. They should have asked a PR team how to handle to questions about the casting instead of just saying whatever they wanted to.

Maybe we've just gotten too good at predicting the box office.

TalismanRing
I fully blame the marketing for not making Exodus look more interesting. Or one could blame the film for not being more interesting or just better.
