It s something I learned during the Silver Linings Playbook marketing campaign. Cooper is interested in all aspect of filmmaking and he wants to give his two cents in post production. That s why he has a co producer credit on Sniper so him finishing the film is plausible.

I think he will direct someday.

I just hope Michael Mann doesn't finish his career at what looks to be its lowest point in 30 years.

 

They'll let him direct one of them there superhero movies to get him back on track. Maybe TASM3
