FWIW I don't think Cavill is a good actor but since they rely more on his physical presence in Fallout, he's fine for this role. But he can't really elevate it.

Also, since he seems alien in demeanor, that also makes him work well enough for Superman too.

I feel like you're slightly biased  🤔

I mean, the figure makes sense; if I understand correctly, this one has the most big stunts out of all of them, and maybe cruise's ankle injury could have inflated the budget a tiny bit? (maybe like $1-2 million ??)

MI6 team had to shut down for a month i guess which might have lead to cost overruns but that doesn't justify its additional 28mln from standard MI budget of 150m.

This movie looks insane in all the aspects. Pretty sure they spent every buck on quality!

Apparently the villain in this movie was in the last film.

I thought it was a new guy until an hour into the film. Honestly I thought he was the guy that played Dwight in The Office.

150m was just a rumor I would imagine.

150m in 2015 is around 160m today.

Lot of people probably got a raise:

McQuarrie the obvious big one, but also Ferguson and you add Cavill pay check.

Similar here. I remember best the villain(s) of the first and the villain of the third film wins (Philip Seymour Hoffman) which is probably also due to the thrilling opening scene with the countdown. The rest I remember more or less only because I rewatched all films recently for refreshing my memories.

Not very important but reviews in Germany are also the best ones of this series. One website which counts many of them shows an average of 8.4/10 so far and the biggest German movie website even rates it 9/10. So the reviews won't hurt ;). By the way the rating for the third film is mostly only 6 or 7/10, much too low IMO. I like this film especially because it shows more emotions and interacting of the characters respectively the couple.
I probably still have to wait at least one week...

Renner is the best villain in the franchise but Dougray is a strong #2

Tbh I have no idea who the villains in the last two were. These movies are all about the STUNTS now
