I missed that! Wow didn't know that. Surprised they chose Lilo and Stitch to go for next.

Stitch merch has been very popular for years. In fact, I wouldn't be at all surprised to find out it's their most profitable merch from any non-princess WDAS film.

I can actually get behind an L&S remake. That one could lend itself nicely to live action if done right. The right girl for Lilo will be key though.

This doesn't look that bad. I may say even good a bit. Hopefully, the genie is repaired in the trailer and ofc the movie.

Genie and Jasmine will be well received, my gut says. Don't know how Aladdin and Jafar can be fixed. Their blandness reminds me of Gyllenhaal in Prince of Persia - another Disney Mem Day release. Similar to criticism of Ehrenreich in/as Solo.

The genie has become such a meme and huge laughing stock on social media.

The Shining and Sonic ones are hilarious.

The memes are hilareous

At least people is talking and actually care about this movie... People are joking but it’s still buzz for the movie, unlike Solo that people just doesn’t care

What the fuck happened? That picture looks great; better proportions, better textures, and overall a more seamless combo of Will Smith and the CGI construct. Why would they purposely decide to use the crappy footage they  did in a trailer?

I am so confused.

Also, I agree with Genie and Jasmine ending up being well received. However, I do not necessarily agree about Aladdin. I don't think he was ever a super exciting character to begin with, so blandness might actually work, but I definitely agree with you about Jafar. The actor's delivery was anything but ominous, menacing or awe-induncing. It was absolutely dull, just there...

Genie looks big in this shot as well as compared to that TV spot where it was just blue human.

Regarding, Jafar and Aladdin, if talking about India, the Hindi dubbing can do the trick with fun dialogues and good dubbing artists as just like The Jungle Book, it will have nostalgia of Arabian Night show.

Something I've heard over the years is that sometimes these trailers and sneak peeks are created months in advance and can sometimes use old CG. It's possible they used an early version of the genie's effects.

Yeah they've improved it since then.

If you look at the high quality pic of Will and change the clarity, contrast, brightness, saturation, etc, you get something closer to what we saw in the trailer. Something tells me they were aiming for the Grammies for the teaser and had it done for a while but the NEXT one should show the better genie (we can only hope).

If the Genie does not work, the film does not work. I think The MOuse has some real problems on it's hands ,folks.

Uh, the dodgy CGI is a long way from being the only thing wrong with the Genie in the trailer.

People on this site over obsses about the visuals, ignore everything else.

But it's not the kind of buzz that Disney wants.

This whole, "ANy publicity is good publicity" routine is pure garbage, and anybody who works in PR can  tell you.
