I'm not sure why WB won't just confirm Affleck being out - weren't the rumors were swirling even before JL came out?

Watching Affleck dodge that bullet at SDCC two years ago, from the third row, seeing the pain in his face, as he spit out verbal vomit, is treasured memory.

Which means the next to go should be Gal, Jason, Ray and Ezra?

Is The Flash still on the docket?

Remember when Ezra was hired in 2014 - he was 22.  He'll be near 30 by the time his solo comes out.  Meanwhile, Tom Holland hired in 2015 will have played Spider-Man at least 5 times by then.

WB is being reactionary again, they now want their own black led comic book movie akin to Black Panther which made 1.3B WW and they see this as a perfect opportunity to do it.

*Reactive. Reactionary means 'opposing political or social progress or reform' so that'd be the opposite. 😃

Do we even need another Superman film? WB/DC haven't gotten the tone of Superman right since Reeves so maybe they should focus on their other projects/comic book characters. It's amazing how Marvel has been able to dig deep and use some of their D-list characters to make franchises and then we have WB/DC wanting to use Batman, Joker, Superman over and over again. Let them die and focus on other characters.

Which I believe they're doing since they're now focused on Birds of Prey, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Flash etc. Thats what they should do more of and give the people a break from Batman and Superman. So Henry Cavil is gone? Good fucking bye.

Here's an idea: Ben Affleck wakes up at the beginning of Matt Reeve's The Batman and realizes Joss Whedon's Justice League was only a dream. And then he discovers he has an incurable disease. He talks to Alfred and remembers one of his young adventures featuring Dick Grayson (Robin/Nightwing) and that's the rest of the movie, a flashback (it seems to be what Reeves is doing). At the end Bruce dies, and Dick Grayson becomes Batman.

This way they can keep the current timeline with the upcoming Wonder Woman and Aquaman films, and have Batman and Superman still dead. (Erase all evidence of Joss Whedon's Justice League from those movies and Shazam).

WB blew their chance. Now a reboot in a few years probably. who knows if comic book movies will still be popular in the near future. the bubble is most likely gonna burst sooner than later

The bubble will never burst for good blockbusters.

Haven't read the article but I assume this is due to Witcher commitments more than anything else? If the scope of that is anything close what they're talking about that'll be like shooting several blockbusters back to back.

lol "blockbusters"

Well religious epic/sword-and-sandal/many others are not what they once were.

That said the bubble is showing not slowing down, even still progression, would not surprise me if the craze level keep up for an other hole decade, depend how well MCU get the next post Phase 1 avengers retirement and Fox properties.
