If the Princess scenes are really as good as those reactions make them out to be, then WDAS owes Amy Mebberson big time. Going by the trailers, the concept, tone, interactions/reactions of the Princesses to each other etc. seem to be heavily inspired by her wonderful Pocket Princesses artwork.

Interesting that it opened to 60 on Critics' Choice, obviously it'll go up but after the very positive initial reactions from critics I expected higher to start off with.

Critics Choice just went up to 80.  Also the review embargo lifts on November 14, 12PM EST, which is actually closer to release than the last 3 Thanksgiving releases from Disney (The Good Dinosaur was 12 days before release, Moana was 16 days before release, and Coco was 33 days before release, though Coco isn't exactly as fair of a comparison).

I must admit, hearing all these early reactions about how much heart and subtext this has is very satisfying after putting up with all the claims it was just going to be a soulless pop culture mashup ala Emoji Movie for the past year.
