They don't HAVE to, they CHOOSE to.

And Zellweger just didn't try and look like a young version of herself, she  changed her face almost completely.  Of course, people were creeped out.

Then she says nothing was done, lol.

Yeah you have the ones who say they didn't have "surgery" which might be technically true but they've been stuffed to the gills with fillers and Botox and lasered beyond belief, but hey, it wasn't surgery!

As for Zellweger, some speculated that it wasn't about looking more youthful, because she didn't really (she looked unrecognizable at first but not noticeably younger), but possibly to erase her ethnic features (she is part Sami) or because as she got older, the folds of skin around her eyes were causing vision problems for her. If it was the latter, even if it was more "vision problems" than vision problems, the fix would have been deemed medical and Renee could truthfully say she didn't have cosmetic surgery.  And if it was a medical thing, sometimes people keep that sort of thing private. Whatever happened, she looks more like herself than she did a couple of years ago.

Anyway, I think a movie about Bridget Jones having a kid would have been a better idea 5-6 years ago. And the reviews make it all sound charming, but a Who's the Daddy? scenario just seems so...Maury Povich. LOL, Colin Firth doing a "You are NOT the father" victory dance...

Honest question. Why not? Maybe not multi billion but why not a successful franchise?

Lionsgate and s Power Ranger. Do we need any more reasons?

Sully's doing well. Should do $130-150 million DOM with Oct 7 and Oct 14 being barren enough for late legs to develop.

Blair Witch might only do $20 million DOM total.  Snowden's on the way to $18-21 million DOM. Bridget Jones's Baby should benefit from minimal competition on its way to $35-40 million DOM.

Excellent hold for Don't Breathe, could end up at $85-90 million DOM. SS held well, too - $325 million DOM is looking possible.

All of the kids movies held well. Wild Life's sub-20% drop would be surprising if it hadn't opened with less than $4 million.

Next weekend will be more exciting since M7 and Storks will likely combine for $75 million+.

Even looking past Lionsgate's crappy track record it's kinda screwed going by the release date alone. Three potential $250m+ grossers are coming out within a three-week radius (Kong, Beauty & The Beast and Fast 8) and they're far from the only competition.

I understand $50 million for that thing. But really $156 million??? Lionsgate is crumbling big time.

Might be, but being Netflix means it won't get a wide release (or any release to be honest). Won't help Wingard's career as much as a Blair Witch breakout could have even if it gets 100% on RT.

Netflix promised exhibitors at CinemaCon that it would honor the 90 day screening window... assuming it was theatrical to begin with.

Lionsgate needs to be rebooted. They are a failure.

No idea how to put the top quote with the bottom quote....

Lionsgate has partnered with Univision to start what is being billed as the 'first Spanish speaking streaming service' which I find hard to believe.  (They don't, for example, have streaming services in Spain and Mexico? And the internet isn't world wide?)  However, they will have their library as well as new distributions.  Maybe they are thinking more of the Netflix / Amazon route....

I'm seriously starting to wonder if SS could make a run at 330m. 320m seems to be locked.

And Sully is gunning for that 150m. Who expected that two weeks ago?

It's going to lose over 1000+ theaters within the next two weeks so probably not. I think around 320 is where it ends.
