Twenty years after his father left on a one-way mission to Neptune in order to find signs of extra-terrestrial intelligence, McBride travels through the solar system to find him and understand why his mission failed. 7 Quote
grim22 Posted February 9, 2017 Posted February 9, 2017 So it looks like WWZ2 is pretty much dead for the near future then. Guess 2019 is the earliest we may see it. Quote
Macleod Posted February 10, 2017 Posted February 10, 2017 (edited) Father will be played by Jon Voight, who will yell at Pitt about his liberal "science" leanings and not treating his wife right once they find each other in a distant galaxy. Edited February 10, 2017 by Macleod 4 Quote
Harley Posted April 11, 2017 Posted April 11, 2017 James Gray confirmed Brad Pitt has signed on and starts filming July 17th. http://theplaylist.net/james-gray-says-heart-darkness-esque-sci-fi-ad-astra-starring-brad-pitt-shoots-summer-20170410/ Quote
Jake Gittes Posted April 11, 2017 Posted April 11, 2017 Whoa whoa whoa this is a James Gray movie? Talk about burying the lede. I can't wait to see this. Quote
CaptainJackSparrow Posted June 24, 2017 Author Posted June 24, 2017 http://www.comingsoon.net/movies/news/861637-ad-astra-movie-brad-pitt Tommy Lee Jones has joined the cast for my most anticipated movie! 2 Quote
MCKillswitch123 Posted June 24, 2017 Posted June 24, 2017 This sounds really, really cool. After Gravity, Interstellar, The Martian and Arrival (and hopefully Blade Runner 2049), this is going to be 2018's breakout sci-fi of the fall. Bring it on! 2 1 Quote
antovolk Posted June 24, 2017 Posted June 24, 2017 Z is the best film I've seen this year so I cannot fucking wait for this. 1 Quote

I start to think about how a certain star is doing and what the future holds for them in their career. Then many of the times, I find out that they're doing something that puts them right onto the limelight. It happened with the pop musician Ke$ha when I thought of how she had a 1500-ish SAT score and found out about her new single a day or two later. Now I've thought about Ruth Negga and then found out that she's been cast in what will surely be a competent film at the very least. I'm really happy for Ruth Negga! I'm sure she'll do a great job in this role. 2 Quote
Morieris Posted August 8, 2017 Posted August 8, 2017 For some reason everything but the title had completely escaped my notice until I saw Ruth was involved today, which already cinched my interest, but this? Quote journey across a lawless and unforgiving solar system I never pass up a chance to see space on the big screen. 2 Quote

marveldcfox Posted September 15, 2017 Posted September 15, 2017 WTF. Hellboy is screwed because Brad Pitt is more bankable star and can take this film to decent gross if it is decent. But January release doesn't give me confidence. Maybe it will get a limited release in December if it is oscar worthy and then a wide release in January. Hellboy should move to MLK weekend. Quote
JB33 Posted September 15, 2017 Posted September 15, 2017 I like it so far. I'll be interested to read more details when they come. It's awhile away though. Quote
lilmac Posted September 15, 2017 Posted September 15, 2017 Rread the wiki plot. I wonder why it would be Neptune. Radio signals perhaps. Triton has geysers suggesting a warm interior so maybe possible life signatures were found there. I hope we don't see a scene where characters are landing on the planet. Quote
Harley Posted September 15, 2017 Posted September 15, 2017 I hope Ruth has a decent storyline. That's all I'm asking for. She deserves better than what she got in this season of Preacher. 1 Quote
