Maybe there is some camera or editing trickery at play here but his fall is shown to continue through at least the stratosphere or the upper bounds of the troposphere which is where Cruise’s MI:Fallout jump occurred. Of course, there are also questions as to how he survived the fall or how he was rescued before impact, if he was. Then again, maybe the fall is merely a dream. Yes these are quibbles but the fall and his survival as depicted in the trailer are ridiculous. Or we could just compare it to someone who has done it. Look at the curvature of the Earth here compared to the trailer. Felix is clearly higher.

The thermosphere (the hot part of the ionosphere) starts around 50 km. The International Space Station orbits at a distance of around 400 km. The structure Pitt was climbing in space, was most likely around the vicinity of the ISS distance. Hopefully the movie will explain Pitt's descent, assuming it was not imaginary.

I hope it’s not to much of a spoiler to say that’s between 0 and 39km.

CoolioD1
the liv tyler character isn't in this draft at all. makes me think the studio gave gray the "needs a love interest" note.

filmlover
This is getting a nice early push so they must be confident. Hopefully this, Ford v Ferrari, and The Woman in the Window are all hits for Fox/Disney.
