Did you people entirely ignore the part where I mentioned, twice, that ComScore only tracks movie before release and Twitter takes into account conversations both before and AFTER release. So the fact that the numbers from both these source do not match is perfectly understandable

Yep, I ignored it.

What's this about again? :jeb!:

I'm pretty sure that this data is only from North America or English speaking countries.

Twitter probably was (and twitter is an english country phenomenom), but comscore I thought they were worldwide (they have global market metric and office in country around the world).

Then, considering Coco's made over $40m in Mexico -  and has become their highest attended movie ever - I'd say Comscore or twitter doesn't have much of a reach there or at least isn't all that reflective of their popular culture.

Sure you would, too bad (well not too bad, more like justice) it'll be more like 1/6th.  B)

Those conversations aren't necessarily going to be positive either.

@TwoMisfits really wants The Star to outgross Coco. At this point, it's not going to crack the top 5 :hahaha:

Actual minutes don't give one as good a comparison to how sales goes up and down during a day or an ability to compare it to other films and how they performed at the same time and day.

For comparison on the Monday of their release week (I don't record a lot of Monday comps since it's still early)

SM: HC:  15 avg (11am),  20 avg (3pm)

WW:   15 avg (1pm)

Thor:  13.5 (12pm)

It:       20 avg (9pm)

Avg over 10 minute period 10:55-11:05

JL: 13.2 av

Wonder: 2.5 avg (this is a  fantastic early number for a family film/drama)

3-3:10 pm EST

JL: 19.8

Wonder: 2.8

The Star: .6

So if I am reading this right JL is just slightly ahead of SMH and that too in screen count but same in near sellouts and 1 behind in total sellout at the same point in time.

Screen counts should tell even more of the story on Tues as others began to really pick up.

They started off JL with a BvS like screen count but it hasn't grown much from there even as other theaters added it lost screens from earlier ones.

For Justice League at Tysons Mclean ("up from" refers to Saturday at 530pm EST so about 48 hours ago)

Dolby

6pm - 96/245 (up 11)

935pm - 80/245 (up 8)

Imax

6pm - 79/461 (up 9)

855pm - 82/461 (up 10)

RealD

7pm- 12/291 (up 2)

1010pm - 1/291 (flat)

Regular

6pm - 8/291 (up 6)

8pm - 26/291 (up 5)

1055pm - 16/291 (up 14)

-Current total is $7749 compared to Thor FINAL which was $18,618 (Per RTH was #5 in the country for Thor opening weekend) and IT FINAL which was $12,843.  This is a good start given the number of showings that are going to be added tomorrow and several more days to go.
