On line of @Porthos Quick and Dirty Check,

Halloween Kills had 1480 sold at 4 Harkins in Phoenix and 1880 in 4 CA theaters at 19:00. All of them having strong occupancies, and will probably add another 20% or so in walk ins.

Problem is HK dont have PLFs so comps are bit iffy. SC had 2872 and 3480 sold in these theaters. HK will reach 63-65% of SC, so round about $5.25-5.75M representative, but SC over indexed in Canada, so cut to $5-5.5M may be.

A little cleaner

Halloween Kills Harkins Final

Mountain Grove - 783 (55.2%)

Cerritos - 799 (50.4%)

Chino Hills - 415 (32%)

Morena Valley - 490 (23.4%)

Arizona Mills - 403 (59.8%)

Arrowhead Fountain - 334 (43%)

Chandler Fashion - 384 (63%)

Estrella Falls - 689 (73% :ohmygod:)

Total - 2487 in CA & 1810 in Phoenix.

72% of Shang Chi in CA & 63% in Phoenix. Phoenix is lower because of lack of PLFs that drive a huge demand, but regardless 63% of SC is no low, that too when occupancy are over 50%. These 8 theaters suggest $5.75-6M Approx, but minus CAN over indexing of Shang Chi, probably ~$525-5.5M.

Other misc theaters.

Tucson Specturum - 357 (102% of Shang Chi)

Yuva Palms - 308 (73% of Shang Chi)

Nah, there’s a reason I didn’t write it 90-55-45-40-90

Been thinking Last Night in Soho is opening with around $8-10M for a while now. No blockbuster but there's a youthful audience (the crowd that's been powering the box office throughout the pandemic era) that's been awaiting its release and will show up opening weekend.

I will not say a previews close to 4m is not possible. With meh walkups its possible. But with MTC2 so strong and good walkups its likely to be close to 5 than 4.

@DAJK how will Halloween kills do in Canada.

Im about to do a Friday for Toronto. Going into the Thursdays from my view I wasn't seeing a huge rush for tickets. Ill get some Friday numbers and see what comes of them and what assumptions (if any) can be made

The number 1 film will have zero PLF’s. Ridiculous.

That is not true. It has Dolby at many AMC locations. https://www.amctheatres.com/movies/black-widow-66056/showtimes/halloween-kills-67399/2021-10-15/amc-empire-25/all/95716977

I guess NTTD has Imax contract for few weeks but Dolby is generally busier minus the mega screen Imax theaters. Liemax do way worse than Dolby for sure.

Ah, I was responding to Katniss post that said 0 PLF’s.

Sorry, I guess I never said what I'm counting as PLFs.  The method I have of pulling only has it broken down into three categories: standard, 3D and IMAX.  PLF for this report only refers to 3D + IMAX shows.  Sorry for the confusion!
