so probably around 8-9K sold in the chain so far, but could be 10k as well, as normal showings are strong.

LOL.

CA only 4 theaters Standard sold 3555 seats in 6 hours on some 37 shows. There are 229 more standard shows.

The overall CA total is 5500+ in 6 hours, compared to 5700 final for Black Widow.

Now other regions theaters are more walkin types, so can't expect it to match BW final there, but 17-18K day 1 is very likely possible in Harkins.

This movie has been on sale for nine hours and has passed final sales (1 hour before previews start) of all other movies I've tracked.  I'm kinda speechless at the moment.  Here's how sales are looking, even with the matinee prices for early shows:

Spider-Man - $108,670 (13.91 ATP)

Black Widow Final - $94,329 (12.81 ATP)

Eternals Final - $74,356 (13.84 ATP)

Shang-Chi Final - $54,954 (13.41 ATP)

Format breakdown - so far it's at 54% standard/46% PLF

UPzdTNY.png

Showtime sample is already returning 9,578 US shows with 1,181 of those being PLF.  Eternals was at 9,541 two weeks out, but it had 2,473 theaters with shows up, whereas Spider-Man only has 1,315 listed so far.

Showtime breakdown

Time Shows %
3:00 1166 12.17%
3:01-3:59 749 7.82%
4:00-4:59 1226 12.80%

Spider-man: No Way Home Harkins 6-9 Hours of Sales

Format Shows Capacity Sold % Sold Gross ATP
Normal 246 67,171 9,836 14.64% $109,653 $11.15
Cine 1 24 7,227 4,009 55.47% $58,556 $14.61
Cine Capri 6 2,673 553 20.69% $7,707 $13.94
IMAX 3 1,335 834 62.47% $12,510 $15.00
3D 16 2,385 155 6.50% $2,083 $13.44

Total 295 80,791 15,387 19.05% $190,509 $12.38

As for analysis, well it has crossed all but Black Widow final in the chain. In California and other pre-sale heavy cinemas, its par BW final, the walk-in theaters are what keeping it a bit away. I suppose we can hit 20K for the full day.

6-9 hours of sales are

29x Shang Chi 1st day of sales

13x Eternals 1st day of sales

9x Black Widow 3 days of sales

78% of Black Widow Final

119% of Shang Chi Final

98% of Eternals Final

Just started to get data and MTC2 is still not working at all. Not able to even get the shows. MTC1 is working but tons of errors. But whatever numbers I could see its HUGE. I hope to provide some numbers for MTC1 in later this morning.

I have some data but many shows are giving errors and nearly 30 theaters are returning no shows at all, still on whatever shows are working looks like at least 110-115k so far, maybe even higher by now.

Just bought tickets for Spider-Man that Friday night in one of the biggest auditoriums that's already 75% full and most of the other shows are similarly packed (the large screen formats only have the first few rows left), even for afternoon shows. The sky is the limit as to just how high this thing will go.

Now I am not getting any data at MTC1 as well.

What I have is  SM NWH MTC1 previews - 45920/100161 706223.20 508 shows.

That is Huge. Its bigger than SW9 start at this point. But have to wait and see how things go. I will wait for dust to settle down before I track this. No point in trying when the sites are blocking us. I hope its not permanent :-)
