Normally Tracking is fairly reliable for the 100m+ openers. Sometimes tracking for record breaking movies goes for a toss as it goes way above expectations. But Spidey tracking os off for sure. its no way coming in the ballpark of 125m.

Quite good for Lion King considering PS did not start that long back. Please update us day before release.

Over reaction to TS4 a victim of being in between Aladdin and Look King. Imo I bet most parents would rather see those 2 in theaters.

Turns out, the trades were using the Pulse updates as well and just didn't twig to the fact that it's been shut down now for five days.

Wow TLK did almost 3M in only a week, and still have 18 days to go

 

I think this will pass 10M total and beat BATB which did +9M two years ago, and from what i know july is more backloaded than march.

 

I feel like $ 180M is probably a safe bet, more being possible depending on reviews, final marketing push etc.

FFH also seems HUGE, that $ 125M prediction is nonsense... could easily pull + $ 175M with these kind of presales considering is a 6-day debut

SW both finished around 36M

One comment about July being “backloaded”. Do we have any historical data supporting it? Why would heart of summer be bad for PS?

Spidey's 6-day opening basically ensures it's gonna be hell trying to pinpoint where it will land. Business is gonna be very spread out.

could go a lot higher than that too since its 6day, which means will depend a lot from walk up and wom

i didn't say it's bad, just say march is usually more frontloaded than july [from what i remember].

WOM's gonna be even more important than it is on a three or five day period.  Lots of time for WOM to spread by the time Fri hits.
