That big drop from Hobbs & Shaw may seem confusing, but that's because one of the theaters that I didn't track Hobbs & Shaw sold 10 Terminator tickets today. Still doing alright, though there is clearly room for improvement.

I did not check for new shows but I will run another report to check for any new shows added. At this point I dont have an opinion about the number itself as this is new. But I guess one can extrapolate from individual reports from so many regulars here. it has sold under 6% of tickets and total number of shows are also low. Let us see how things go.

 

Edit: No additonal shows added. I guess any new shows will be added in release week. I will check all reserved theaters next weekend to update show count.

Yeah, that's shocking to me. It did gangbusters at the Cinemark Sugarhouse that I track in SLC proper. One thing that may have influenced grosses here this weekend though was something known as General Conference. It's a two-day event that the LDS church puts on a couple of times a year that members of the faith are expected to watch on tv. It may be that in areas of SLC that are more LDS (Sugarhouse tends to be young, secular, and liberal) turnout was dampened somewhat. That's why I have started including West Jordan in my reports; it fits that young, LDS, movie-going profile to a 'T'.

What are your plans for AMC 25 for the rest of the year?  I'm debating about adding it back into my tracking for JUST the smaller movies.

I'm debating about if I should expand the Cinemagic Theaters.  I'm tracking 3 of their 8 that are all in NE.  Or should I forgo that and just pick up AMC Boston Commons?
