I'll probably watch 7 movies this summer:

Guardians

Aliens

Wonder Woman

Despicable Me

Spider-man

Apes

Valerian

That's more than the typical summer.

No Dunkirk? You are trash Grey Ghost. Our friendship is over. Die.

This summer looks so damn boring in regards to big movies

All the awesome ones came out in March. March scheduling was whack. Some movies could have benefited from an August release like Power Rangers. Hell Kong could have done more.

I so want Valerian to move to August but a dick contest is preventing that from happening.

It's a game of chicken and Valerian is going to win.

Yeah an ok number for Baywatch. Will be curious to see how it interacts with Pirates.

I suspect Baywatch might open decently, but it is as bad as the critics are saying, it won't have any legs.

It's a comedy that appears to be not very funny. Maybe they should have made it more an action movie, like the original TV show.

The third Batman was radically different from the first two. :kitschjob:

This whole "all superhero movies at identical" probably comes from people who don't bother to notice the minor and major details.

It's like someone who doesn't watch sports saying all football games are the same.

I don't watch football any more either.:D

Somewhere in one of these threads @MikeQ mentioned that Guardians of the Galaxy would probably only decline by about 25% based on history. Good call Mike.

Thanks baumer! :)

Peace,

Mike

I am curious..what's it like in Portugal? I found out about it through the acronym PIGS.

I'm not Portuguese. :depp:

I dated a Brazilian who spoke Portuguese. :insane:

But that was ages ago. :sadben:

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 had the smallest drop of the top five (-25%). On par with the first movie drop, but bigger than 'Civil War' (-21.4%) and 'Age of Ultron' (-22.9%).

GOTG Vol 2  ($2,534,650) > A: AoU ($2,329,898) > CA: CW ($2,272,708).

Still keeping slight hope of GotG2 400 alive at least for another day.  AoU made another 78M after this point on but as can be seen GotG2 has been holding better.  Of course AoU didn't have another CBM movie hitting it after Memorial Day weekend but I think Guardians' late legs will still be better overall.

Yeah, GotgV2 is going to destroy BvS, Suicide Squad, and Deadpool at the box office. It has some great legs! I'm excited about V3
