Onward release seems like a good timing.

High expectations with this one, especially because of the writer.

So this will land in the good but forget about Pixar category. The same as the good dinosaur, the Cars movie, Brave and Monsters University. Review seemed good enough but it definitely will explain while the tracking and Buzz it's kind of low for this film.

I'm actually a bit surprised it's not lower. Onward currently has the lowest delta between its Tomatometer and it's average score (when multiplied by 10) out of all Pixar movies besides Cars.

Sounds about right. 

Onward will (hopefully) do well, but Soul was always going to be the stronger film.

i can see their point of view, yeah the reviews are not masterpieces, but lukewarm ? nah , that would be like 60-65 on rt and 50 on mc

the only pixar's film in the past 10 years that can recall its early days greatness was IO & Toy story3, 

 

The rest are just serviceable and enjoyable flick,

This is certainly lukewarm. It's lower than The Good Dinosaur on MC and 2% higher on RT.
