Nolan isn't the only person who feels this way though.

Ever visit Film-Tech forum? There are a bunch of theater owners and managers on that website who seem very concerned about Hollywood's push for day and date home video. Could very well kill theaters, but would also hurt the studios if theaters go out of business.

The world changes. It happens.

When TV first came out, movie theater owners thought it would be the end of the theatrical experience. They fought like hell against cable thinking HBO would be the end of them so much so theaters ran propoganda.

If the theaterical experience can survive TV, cable, piracy then it should be fine. If it can't well the world changes.

On the other hand, I hope Netflix buys your movie. Give people a chance to stumble upon it. Plus they pay you. :)

hahah why thank you and thanks for watching it! Netflix is like the holy grail, it would be the biggest dream come true. Im hoping for YoutubeRed at least though.

I love Netflix and all the streaming services, they help so many smaller films get seen. Its one of the best things to happen to low budget filmmaking. But if I was a big time director making 60m dollar pictures I wouldn't want it premiere on streaming.

Am aligned with that sentiment. Find Craig-Bond movies utterly over-rated, including Skyfall and CR.

Skyfall is overrated. Most memorable parts of Skyfall are its beautiful cinematography, Judi Dench, and that mesmerizing French Bond girl that shouldn't have died.

Casino Royale is a classic, though. I could watch that film again and again.

WB is obviously still counting that Dunkirk Wondy double features cash!

Why do you believe there were double features? I only ask because, this morning's Forbes magazine article on WW kind of hinted that double features would be considers down the line.

I don't see day and date simultaneous wide theatrical and VOD releases ever catching on. The extent of it will only go as far as cheap movies that would be dead after two weeks anyway, like what Paramount did with the last Paranormal Activity and some other horror movie.

It advantageous for theaters to show two movies from the same studio since it costs less for them too.

The Deakins tricked me upon first viewing into thinking Skyfall was on Casino Royale's level. Subsequent viewings have proven I'm wrong, although Skyfall still looks heaven-sent

This is exactly how I feel.

Theater owner were almost right too, number of theater went down drastically also, it barely survived (and it was not sure that it would in the eye of many before jaws/star wars/superman happened). Studio achieved to moneytised those new avenue successfully, Netflix is moneytised but is price point does not seem to make sense.

According to fast and furiousa, there were not much double features for WW this w/e. Rth and empire?

Thanks! I guess Forbes used same source. That is why I asked Mojoguy. Was getting conflicting info, but he posted something from a drive in movie theater.
