WONDER WOMAN is so close to 400M Domestic that it would be absolute robbery if this somehow missed 400M for as close as it is, but it has happened.. At this point, I'd fudge it just to ensure it at least crosses it..

It is gonna end at $405m without fudge and expansion. As for $400m, I think it would have already happened.

Truly amazing number for Spider-Man: Homecoming. I was hoping for anything over $1m, $1.5m is awesome. So fucking happy that Wonder Woman is crossing $400m today, love the fact that my two favorite films this year are doing. I remember fondly of 2012, but this is clearly shaping up to be the best year for superhero films so far.

Yeah I admit at 1 time, I honestly didn't think it would cause of the slump DCU seem to be going with, but Congratulation to Patty Jenkins and many more adventures hopefully to come with Diana Prince.. Let's hope when the time comes, CAPTAIN MARVEL hammers it home as well.. ;)

I hope Captain Marvel is successful too. In fact hopefully most superhero films in the future are very successful. Fatique, nah!

Hmm.

Slump?

The numbers that MOS, BvS, and SS posted worldwide were far, far, FAR from slump-like.

You just hated everything DCEU. :D

Remember how much you repeated that the film would flop because "SHE COULDN"T EVEN GET A TV SERIES GREENLIT" and "NOBODY CARES ABOUT WONDER WOMAN!"? Remember how much you claimed that the film would flop because Gal wasn't "built" like Lynda? You even posted that famous gif of Miss Carter (in full WW costume) running and you said that if the film didn't capture that pic, it would flop.

How did that work out? :D

Yeah that THR article that dropped when they made one of the very few rotten top critics reviews for Homecoming. One week later they released an "unofficial" review that went for the complete opposite.

Superhero films and Cinematic Universe experiences are here to stay. And cinema is all much better for it.

I don't think there was a time when no one seemed to care about WW, as far as the general public goes. Studios were just afraid of female centric films. This movie, which basically stars actors who are not household names shows that the public did and does care about WW. WW, the story and the way it came together made people support it.

But that fear fueled tons of random fanboy narratives that alleged that "Nobody cares about Wonder Woman!" It was just the 'justification' that the WW (and DC) haters needed to continue underselling her potential and the DCEU's potential. I am just glad that the film's undeniably smashing success will at least temporarily silence the haters. :D

But just to be sure, we don't get the cocaine or hookers in until official word comes through tomorrow, right?
