Well despite all that, JL is going to cross $200m DOM and $600m WW pretty soon. Not bad for being "left in the dust".

For a $300M+ budget that’s not to good. Under $700M for a movie of this caliber isn’t good.

Not good when your production budget is 300M, plus 150M in marketing.

And it would've been more likely that Hell froze over than Justice League missing 200M DOM and 600M WW. It has nothing to be happy about for taking 3 weeks to cross those marks. Zootopia, which opened 20M smaller, was already higher than JL at this very same point in time, for God's sake!

To be happy about JL making those milestones is like saying "Star Wars managed to make just a little over 100M on OW! Yaaaaaaayyyyyyyyy!".

It'll end up with less than Doctor Strange but I respect how you're sinking with your ship.

Never Surrender.

JL will finish with about $650m on a $300m production budget and yet there are people who can defend this performance.. I mean..:gold:

who knows where it will finish yet. Holidays are coming all over the world soon. And Forbes said 250-300 million. So its between that

:wintf:Do you really believe it has a chance to go close to $300m (which apart from being impossible still wouldn't be enough to make this anything more than a disapointment).

Erm no. Because he’s talking about the budget, not gross.

Not to mention we already have an idea due to the international forums. It’s likely aiming for $660M-$680M.

Battefront lost money. Yet technically its a profitable game, if you just go by budget to sales. But thats NOT how big business works at all. Its about expectations and market share. JL is a box office disaster.

There is also the hard to give value to a brand/IP that is affected (I think that what happened here, the market diminished the value of that video game franchise), not necessarily about an entry making or loosing money.

A stock value tend to turn around All the expected future profit amortized to today + current net actifs.

The market diminished is expectation for the future entry sales.

Not going to help much when theaters are actively tanking it this weekend to get rid of it.  At this point, I can tell you Warner Bros. cares far more about Father Figures than they do Justice League.

It’s theater economics. Studios have contracts. With 9+ wide releases during the holidays and theaters probably keeping Coco due to Disney. JL will lose half of its theaters like Beast did over the holidays.
