Not solid enough to save Depp's career it seems.

Depp has had a 30+ year career so he's ready to retire anyway, eh?

As for Pirates 5, it's a good film but the culture has passed it by so much it's a miracle it made almost $800m WW.

having a tough time seeing north of 110 mon-thu next week:

thu 19.25

fss 27 (+40%) + 30 (+11%) + 15 (-50%) = 72

mon-thu 35 (+133%) + 33 (-5.7%) + 21.5 (-35%) + 20.5 (-4.7%) = 110

(even this is a tad optimistic imo)

what are ur numbers for next mon-thu?

I think Monday and Tuesday could each make a run at $40m. Rogue One’s 2nd Monday was 12/26 and it jumped 82%. Last Jedi needs about 85% jump from first Monday to reach $40m on Christmas Monday.

Last I'll say on discount Tuesday...BUT...

Cinemark kept discount Tuesday yesterday - my mom bought tickets in NJ and my sib bought them in VA.

AMC kept discount Tuesday yesterday - that was on their own website.

Now, I don't know what other chains kept or dropped discount Tuesday, but these are 2 huge chains that both had it yesterday.

So, if someone wants to post what normal discount Tuesday chains did NOT have it (especially West Coast or Canadian centered ones), I'm all ears - extra data can only help extra legs extrapolation...

EDIT: And they bought Star Wars tickets at both, so this movie was not a "special exclusion" at these chains, either...

it is an RPX now.  It is a classic big screen.  One of the biggest originals in California, I think.

Did they charge a higher ticket price for it before conversion to RPX?

My local Regal simply took the two biggest screens and converted to IMAX/RPX. Before conversion, the ticket price was identical to smaller screens.

So is a $60M six day happening for Jumanji?

thinking,

7.5 + 6.5 + 9 + 11 + 5.5 + 13 = 52.5 (7.0x the od)

Sing did 11 od*6.86x = 75.5 6-day, but with a different weekend config.
