Not an issue or anything just a question....

Where in Wakanda does Age of Ultron take place and after watching this movie, how? Or was that not Wakanda and just a country by them? Thanks

The Africa bit of AoU was in South Africa IIRC.

Ahhhh thank you and Civil war was Laos nit Wakanda, ok got it!!!

Why was Wakanda, a nation that tries to stay out of the public eye, and wants no vistors at all, leading the charge for the Sokiva Accords then?

This movie basically says they wouldn't have done that at all actuallly.

Because Wakandan nationals died in Lagos.

T'Challa and Nakia are one of better MCU romances (Cap/Peggy, Quill/Gamora, Tony/Pepper in the first IM) but my sisters are all over T'Challa and Killmonger chemsitry so expect that ship to sail on a high tide. :D

However, I do think that letting Killmonger die is a mistake. he and T'Challa could've had Magneto/Xavier relationship throughout the series. I understand that Eric died on his own terms and of his choice (he thought he would be disgraced/imprisoned/etc had if he was healed) but I wish they kept him. Outside of Loki and Thanos, all MCU villains were disposed of (I don't count TWS as an actual villain).

I really liked this!

Also, I really want an well-researched, well-thought-out op-ed about how this and Ragnarok deal with colonialism, the sins of the father, and how the horrors of it echo today. They both take very different approaches to it but both reach similar conclusions in a really fascinating way. How Thor and T'Challa deal with realizing their complicity in it is also extremely fascinating to me.

Or maybe Coogler and Waititi can just interview each other about it. Either would be great.

So just came out of this

I think it's a good movie, but the ending kinda... fell flat. I mean, apart from that terrible teleporting --

Oh I'm sorry but I have to delve into that.

So the guy blows his horn and rhinos come out of the ground seconds later? What the hell is this? And then, to top it all off, the huge guy with the snow army surprises another army by stepping right behind their leader, while the whole battle happens on top of a huge cliff? And nobody saw it coming, nobody saw them... climbing the hill? Like, hundreds of soldiers just materialized behind them?

I mean, there's suspension of disbelief and then there's this.

-- Alright, end of teleporting rant

I absolutely loved the supporting characters (Shuri, Nakia, and the others), they killed it in my opinion and definitely outshone the main characters.

Wakanda looks awesome.

The fights were simultaneously cool and terrible. Don't know how they managed that.

I was certain Ross was gonna die, no idea why. Well, pleasantly surprised he didn't.

Pacing was on point, loved the flow of the movie. Hip-hop soundtrack was a bit out of place during, I recall, one scene, but otherwise, loved it.

Definitely a movie that felt different, not so much in terms of story but everything else, so I enjoyed it a lot for that.

Recommended!

Sam is really really really gonna be upset by that post-credits scene.

#banbarnes

Wait, is it really about Emo boy?

I made the right choice then. I left after the mid-credit scenes

It did have Shuri as well though. Would she have been enough to balance it out?

That would make it worse. Wakanda princess shouldn’t have to deal with Emo boy’s shit
