Probably not, it played New York Radio City Music Hall 5000 seats 3-4 session a day(weekend most sessions sold out) and the regular El Capitan in LA(1000 seats, at the time it had a record Saturday), the lion's share (haha)  of cause was taken by Radio City (probably have the figure somewhere). From memory tickets were like $25-30 back in 1994. That first week the PTA was like 1.6m. There was also a bit of a live show with it as well.

And that’s how you make an event film!! Disney has relegated WDAS to  one of their least priority studios, urgh.

Cant wait for them to ran out of animated films to remake and CBM hype to simmer down so they’ll focus their attention again to WDAS

I just realised how little we know about Disney's 2020 releases in general. Avatar 2 is a guarantee and I guess its likely that Black Widow and The Eternals make up the MCU releases but we have no idea if a Star Wars film will be released then (probably not it seems now) and we have no idea what the Pixar and Disney Animation Films are.

It’s a shame they put Gigantic on hold. That could have been So cool. Isn’t Pixar making that movie About a boy finding his father in a Magical world with unicorns as rats? I also wouldn’t be surprised If they were Working on zootopia 2 but i keep my hopes up for an original movie

Is widows a flop? No chance at oscars now?

It's no chance to be a big winner now; I'd say it's got a chance for some nominations like Adapted Screenplay, maybe an acting nom or two, and maybe even Original Song (because Sade has something for the movie that's kind of neat), but it's definitely a much reduced player. Definitely not the player it could've been. And I'm sure it'll miss the directing nom, too; it's a competitve field, as always.

It's likely Byron Howard's next project with Lin Manuel. Mark Andrews , Brian Fee and Pete Docter are supposedly working on unannounced Pixar films.

It seems Disney is giving up on pushing Christopher Robin to 100M?

If it's not pushed to 100 we will have 2 films ending between 99 and 100 in the same year. A rare thing I guess.
