Although that multiply would be awesome I don't think it's going to go that high this time. I'll be happy with a 2.6 or 2.7

That would be great of course and I would love anything above 2.5x it’s opening weekend. But the possibility is there for it to do even more as the 2nd one proved bigger OW is not an issue to bettering the 1st movies multiplier, which in itself was huge.

People remember it was also higher than AIW’s Monday number last weekend and it still fell bellow AIW’s other weekdays.

It's possible but IW had a tiny bump Tuesday. It can fall 10% and still be higher.

Yeah, without the Canadian holiday, it probably would've matched or slightly out grossed AIW's 4th Monday's $2.7M gross!

Actuals

JW 5.7 (4.6 + 1.1)

EG 3.2 (2.05 + 1.15)

DP 2.5 (1.6+0.9)

Thanks you, as always, Charlie. As a Canadian, it is really cool to be able to see the breakdown for Canada specifically. I wish box office in general was always presented that way (instead of a combined US/Canada domestic gross).

But that followed an expected imax/plf heavy lesser tuesday increase than IW TTVOMJ

I think I am too old to understand the acronyms of the kids these days. What does TTVOMJ mean?

Peace,

Mike

If CinimaScore was the final word of total OW multiplier, Avatar would’ve ended around ~$600M and Endgame would be looking at ~$3.4B. The Greatest Show would’ve flopped along with most horror movies. The Last Jedi would have... never mind 😂

CinemaScore didn't mean crap when your movie got a 357 million opening.

Hell, didn't Hereditary almost get a 4x multiplier despite its D+ CinemaScore?

Cinemascore definitely means something. Endgame will be grossing $500mn after first weekend, an amount crossed by Christmas legs only.

The other one coming close was A+.

EG Dom+China (1450-1470) > AOU WW (1405)

EG's 2 territory total would displace AOU from #9 on all time charts.

8 Furious 7 Uni. $1,516.0 $353.0 23.3% $1,163.0 76.7% 2015
9 Avengers: Age of Ultron BV $1,405.4 $459.0 32.7% $946.4 67.3% 2015
10 Black Panther BV $1,346.9 $700.1 52.0% $646.9 48.0% 2018

It's 3 territory total, adding in UK's 109 would displace TA1 from #7

7 Marvel's The Avengers BV $1,518.8 $623.4 41.0% $895.5 59.0% 2012
