Dan Murrell called the movie "an unmitigated disaster" and this cut should have been "unreleasable".

Woof, it's getting absolutely smoked by top critics. I think I've seen 2 total fresh reviews out of 13 from that group thus far.

Even if you removed all critics with active hate toward the project, the rest of the world just... doesn't care about this film. And the reviews were last minute. That was the writing on the wall.

 

And Disney/Marvel knows this, hence the most active promotion for this movie being on platforms they're in control of.
