30m is not bad but neither amazing. If this was released last week, this number will come below Batman's 3rd week.

At least it didn't open poorly like WSS. I had my expectations low for TLC simply because of the lack of adults going to back to theaters.

I’m just very glad we are likely going to have a non-tentpole film do over $100m domestic considering the biggest adult skewing, non-tentpole since Little Women was Dog at about $60m and Gucci just around $50m, which is very great for the box office as tentpoles only (while the business is certainly most impressive in numbers) is not sustainable for theaters to thrive. We need a variety of films all doing well.

I don't think enough respect is being given to Sing 2 here and in reddit. Got somewhat overshadowed by the ridiculous numbers posted by NWH. It'll have the second longest stay in top 10 and having the second best weekend numbers for an for an animated film of this century. Looks like it'll be rivaling or staying close to NWH numbers in the upcoming weeks.

The fact that Sing 2 did a $160m run after a middling opening is pretty impressive on its own. Especially because it is the only family film since Sonic 1 and only animation since Frozen 2 to go over 100m as well as making a tidy profit.

Plus, Sing 2 had an A+ in CInemaScore.

Is this maybe some sort of a record for worst Thursday preview to Friday multiplier??

Some depressing Friday increases, including for X sadly.

Thursday wasn't preview. It was a full day of shows.

Ah, thanks. Gitesh has worded it in a weird way then, adding the numbers together.

So it fell over 50% from Thursday to Friday.

Expected. It had way too much hype that everyone went on day 1 at like 35-40$ tickets as well
