God people STILL don't get that the studios only get a percentage of the price of a ticket, and that theaters show a movie without tanking a pretty good cut of the ticket sales.

You also have overhead costs like distribution, taxes (many governments take a cut of the ticket price ) etc,

I won't get into the argument about the exact figure, but a studio has got to take in a lot more then the production costs at the box office before reaching the break even point, let alone get into profit.

Morbius will make a minor profit at best. Treating it like some great triumph for Sony it ridiculos.

70 is about C+ don’t see what your trying to prove lol.. the critics gave it the equivalent of a G :redcapes:

You know, if you genuinely liked Morbius and disagree with what most critics are saying, you're free to dispute their actual points rather than try to pretend the sky is green.

Morbius will finish under Birds Of Prey?

Birds of Prey finished 84m domestic. 2.55x

Multipliers of poorly received/flop superhero movies:

BVS- 1.99

Dark Phoenix- 2.01

Fantastic 4- 2.18

So, anywhere from 77.8m, 78.5m. 85.2m. 80m is a reasonable prediction so there's a good chance. Especially with Sonic and Fantastic Beasts coming

Much smaller opening. BvS blew its load in the first 48 hours.

That 1,99 multiplier is still hilarious and baffling to me to this day. I mean even with the very bad reception and even though it opened on the Easter weekend - a multiplier under 2 is just ... oooff.
