Bones and All is likely very frontloaded so with a $345K start it's probably going to be lucky to approach $5M for the 5-day. Also more not good news since it reportedly has a budget over $30M (why?), but for a movie that was always going to be a tough sell, likely a best case scenario since it'll enjoy a nice life on streaming anyway.

Suspiria was a limited release though, only ever got to 300 theatres. 
 

Suspiria looked far weirder than this does, IMO.

To be honest as a huge sci fi fan, I'm not going to go out of my way to watch a sci fi movie from Disney. I would rather they stick to their more traditional fantasy shtick. 

That being said, looking back, Tron Legacy's box office run actually seems quite impressive.

I think Suspiria had the advantage of people not really knowing what it was about. Bones and All is pretty clearly about cannibals, which I imagine turns a lot of people off.

That should have been a sub 10M movie. Also despite him being a skilled filmmaker, the movie is a pointless bore. It has its moments but you just walk away going, "ok....?" It's not even that shocking or provocative.

Strange World has a gay romantic subplot. The audience score will be awful and legs will be nonexistent. 

 

Bones & All was sold as a Chalamet horror/drama movie when in reality it is a indie cannibal romantic drama. People are not gonna fuck with that.
