‘Napoleon’ Conquers Tuesday Thanksgiving Previews With $3M, ‘Wish’ $2.3M – Box Office

Apple Original Productions Ridley Scott Napoleon won $3M in Tuesday night previews while Disney’s Wish took in $2.3M. Both fired off at 3PM yesterday.

 

That’s an impressive number for Napoleon for the war epic movie that it is: it’s right under what 1917 previews did for its wide expansion back in January 2020 which was $3.25M, and it’s ahead of Apple/Paramount’s Killers of the Flower Moon which was $2.6M.

Wish had so much potential. I cant believe they blew it like this. This is the most frustrating Disney performance of the year imo.

For Encanto people KNEW they could have waited to see the movie for free on D+ if they just waited a few week until Christmas. That movie was handicapped so badly when it came out.

It's freaking sad that THG is going to take first place over the Thanksgiving weekend. Good for THG, but shows the incredible lack of GA interest for the new releases this Thanksgiving weekend.

Been feeling the Napoleon buzz for months, significantly more adult friends I knew talking about this than Moon. Napoleon is like the world's most famous guy and Joaquin Phoenix in a movie from Gladiator director as easy of a sell as any historical epic can get in the year 2023.

I think Napoleon is going to have very mixed WOM.  Unfortunate because with those previews I think it could've really blown up otherwise.

Napoleon and Wish both look like they should finish over THG this Thanksgiving.
