As far as remakes go, I actually have a lot of hope in this one if things go right. I hope the first trailer released doesn't shatter my optimism. Unlike another remake coming out this month, the material here can be improved and they could go in a completely different direction that is much darker.
 

But if this follows the standard cliche Poltergeist by the numbers horror remake, I'm going to be very let down. So I can't trust Kings word yet.

It's always been considered his best adaptation. Which makes sense given it's also one of the best movies.

I love trailers for horror remakes.

 

Even the Nightmare on Elm Street trailer was fantastic.

 

But the trailer for Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2003 is the best trailer of all time, IMO.

Won't watch it, I got nightmares after seeing it as a kid, all alone in the dark the night I watched it I literally watched under my bed for years before going to sleep

I won't watch it either since I have a phobia of clowns, Pennywise is offender number 2 on my list of worst clowns.
