Neo

It | Sept. 8, 2017 | Warner Brothers | Andy Muschietti directing. Trailer on Page 12 NO SPOILER DISCUSSION. Certified Fresh on Rotten Tomatoes

The rating isn't going to matter to me because I'm hard to scare. I just want to feel creeped out.

The trailer didn't do it for me, but that rarely happens anyway. I'm still going to see it. I've also had a pretty bad record this year with horror (1 out of 4 films I actually liked, and that was Get Out). Hopefully this won't be in the column of bad/disappointing horror films.

It'll be interesting if The Dark Tower or It manage to outgross The Green Mile which is currently the highest grossing King movie at $136.8m. I think both will fall short but I could see It doing over $100m domestic if it's well received.

Looks great. Are we going to hear the same whine as with the others ..."but it's a remake...."

I think we're safe from hearing about that.

We can just shoot them down with "well this is the first film" as the original was a TV event.

This isn't a remake....why would anybody think it would be?

The word "remake" is often thrown around without consideration of its intended meaning. I see it all the time when a reboot is announced.

There are people who believe Kong: Skull Island is a remake and accuse it of being as such. So I'm not surprised when I hear people state that It is a remake. The word's original meaning has been forgotten.
