Even if they fixed Sonic, People keep forgetting the  crappy design of Sonic was  a long, long,long, way from being the only bad thing in that trailer....

 

This just looks like a bad movie.

Looks much better, design-wise. He still looks way too artificial, though. Which, yeah, of course, but compared to Pikachu, it just doesn't look as refined. Hopefully the final product will be improved even more. Still, the movie seems like silly fun, which is ok.

Plastic surgery looks better, but he still looks a tad artificial and "not there" (and yes I know he's a blue hedgehog)

 

Also cracks me up that they're doing the Smurfs/Masters of the Universe thing where the cool fantasy world gets shown for like 10 minutes and the characters get forced into the real world. I would think Sega would want us to forget about the awfulness that was Sonic X. 😕

This just looks more like the Smurfs movies than Detective Pikachu. Sure, Sonic doesn't look like a freak but everything just looks boring as hell. Couldn't they just make a proper Sonic movie instead of this "Sonic goes to the real world" shit?
