I am going to guess his role will be expanded a lot for the movie. The character he is playing barely appears in the books, most likely they will use that character in place of new characters introduced later on the villains side.

The book is a whole heck of a lot of fun. I handed it to a bunch of my students and they all loved it. Especially the boys.

Yuck, I just read the book summary. Sounds like Tron Legacy crossed with Spy Kids 3.

 

It is terribly disappointing for someone who was hoping Spielberg would do something in the vein of his serious blockbusters.

I've mentioned a few times in the thread that the book does have themes that could be a bit deeper on, but I do kind of agree that a film along those lines would be great to see again. AI and MR are great, but I've seen WOTW so long ago I need to review it.
