Sadly...Hunger Games owned 2013, it'd have been cool to have a non sequel winning 2014. GOTG is also a better movie .

I am in the other camp. Better Lionsgate winning another year rather than Disney winning the nth time. Disney is lock to win(and probably finish 1-2 3) next year. This is despite me liking GOTG and I am ambivalent towards HG franchise(saw HG in theater and did not like it. Have not seen the sequels yet).

Great numbers. Hobbit seems to be getting strong WOM and should easily beat DOS now. Unbroken and ITW with relatively steep drops, but thanks to their strong opening day they are still in pretty good shape.

I am financially vested in Disney's success, and I thought GOTG was a much better movie, but I'd still rather have MJpt1 win the year, since GOTG's number is just to low for me to want it to remain the years top number.
