Maybe she should take this time to seek out better roles. Or map out an actual career path in front of her instead of trying to juggle music and movies.

Pretty obvious they want to get as far away possible from the Michael Bay style that everyone has clearly become sick of and start fresh.

It's frustrating as hell that Steinfeld isn't doing much to propel her career forward on both ends. She's been doing the music for what, three years now?, and still hasn't released an album. She needs to streamline the amount of writers on her songs (or just go solo and write them herself) and truly make a chart topper. Or better yet, ditch music and focus on films! Edge of Seventeen got her a Globe nomination, so it's not like she's been forgotten in Hollywood! She has vocal talent, but the majority of her songs are so disposable.

I feel like most of the roles (the good ones, at least) for actresses in her age group always end up going to the likes of Saoirse Ronan, Elle Fanning, etc.

That's because she's trying to juggle a music career as well. I can guarantee she'd be getting roles left and right if she wanted them.

Her music career is so strange to me. She’s a capable actress but an bland singer (extremely dull). 

 

Its like she missed out on the lesson Ariana Grande, Miles Cyrus, Selena Gomez, and Demi Lovato all told us: just do the thing youre better at. Steinfeld can act better than she can sing. Her music just gels into all the other 20-something pop singers. It’s a waste of time.

All franchises will be rebooting at some stage. Even the MCU. Some have much longer life span than others.

If this is a hit I'm pretty sure Steinfeld won't be going anywhere. Travis Knight could certainly use a franchise revenue stream.

Paramount have a Hasbro Event movie in 2021, it is speculated to be a MASK/ROM/Micronauts/GI Joe crossover. Might be a great place to introduce the Transformers again, maybe in a post credit scene with the Decepticons crashing on earth or something.
