Paramount have a Hasbro Event movie in 2021, it is speculated to be a MASK/ROM/Micronauts/GI Joe crossover. Might be a great place to introduce the Transformers again, maybe in a post credit scene with the Decepticons crashing on earth or something.

Oh, noooooooooooooooooo. Paramount lost its damn mind

I agree, all those teams are basically the exact same concept of "Secret military team with advanced weapons". But since they are going for a Hasbro universe, it does seem like the most logical place for the reintroduction of Transformers.

With this, Paramount is basically hinting that Bumblebee spinoff hasn't shaped up all that well after all that writer room nonsense. Most likely it isn't any different than the Michael Bay ones. That's what you get when he is the producer. They should move it to February against The new Mutants. Let the best one win cuz they are pretty much one and done deal.

If I was Paramount I'd move up the release date to early August if I could. That month is dead again this year.

Moving the movie is a mistake if they want to make as much money as possible, late Dec is still the best date for it.

after this she won't chance it and is just gonna focus on her garbage pop career.

Maybe she should take this time to seek out better roles. Or map out an actual career path in front of her instead of trying to juggle music and movies.

She should pitch being in a Lab Rats movie. She'd make a good villain.

December this year is a major clusterfuck though. You've got Mortal Engines and the animated Spider-Man movie the weekend before then Alita: Battle Angel and Aquaman the weekend of Bumblebee's release. Then Mary Poppins opens the week after. Regardless, the action genre and the family genre is gonna be plenty competitive in that time frame. Moving at least one or two of those films is the best option at this point.

Why not just have this tie into the eventual reboot? Seems like a complete waste to just release this and have that be it.

Canons aren't set in stone. Even if they say it's the end if there's something audiences like in this movie they're not going to walk away from an opportunity for the sake of "finality".
