Before someone posts here about JW2 having a new title, this "Ancient Futures" is just a production working title, just like "Ebb Tide" was the production working title for JW. 

Hopefully we will get a new official title soon

Ancient Futures is fitting due to making the creation of dinosaurs a global corporate enterprise with competing companies. It's just like Trevorrow alluded to when talking about the sequel months ago. 

 

Futures are financial contracts giving the buyer an obligation to purchase an asset (and the seller an obligation to sell an asset) at a set price at a future point in time.

That's interesting. Never thought at "futures" as a financial thing, but just as the plural of "future". Looks like Trevorrow wants to insist on the criticism to corporations/money also in JW2. Which would be cool, since it would give a continuity on the subtext of the new trilogy.
