 Saw this in IMAX tonight. This was pretty laughable.  Not as awful as Annabelle but pretty close. Very forgettable.

Saw it. It's the same old shit, despite what friends who saw preview screenings hyped it up to be. It imitates everything that's already been seen in countless horror movies this decade.

 

There was a serious crowd though, most of which were comprised of teenagers who will find anything scary. If you've seen most of the films in The Conjuring series, you don't need to see this one. It's does nothing to stand out. Very tired and flat in atmosphere.

The theater was not crowded tonight. There was a bigger crowd for The Meg when I saw it opening night. I am positive it will still pull in $35M+

Damn will still see it, and am still looking forward to it, but maybe I won't shill out the $ for IMAX, or the half hour bus ride. Will just go to the smaller, near theatre.

i'm guessing it is as bad as the other Conjuring movies that got really really good reviews and it is as bad as the other Conjuring movies that got bad to mediocre reviews.

I was reading some old posts about IT movie and I wonder... Do you have any horror movie trauma? It seems like you don't like to see them making success or being well received.

Ah yes, dig up my old posts about It, a movie that I gave a 9/10 and was in my top 25 last year.

Im a big Conjuring Fan. I love Conjuring 1+ 2 and really liked Annabelle: Creation, didnt care for the first Annabelle though.

 

The Nun is not horrible, its worse: forgettable. I wasnt scared for a second, because even the jumpscares were...more funny than scary. Some scenes made me laugh which is NOT a good sign. The film has good production values, a good score and Taissa Farmiga is solid, but in the end...blah. I wont buy it on Blu-Ray, Though to be fair, i wasnt bored while the film was playing, but i hoped for much more.
