This franchise somehow makes studios believe that next time it'll make a lot of money for sure and when it doesn't, they continue trying again. I guess we'll see Michael Biehn & Lance Henriksen in Terminator 7 as another attempt at "true sequel to Terminator 2".

He co-wrote the script too.  I never denied that.  According to the DGA he ain't the director.

That's another attempt to downplay his involvement.

 

Jim wrote the script (180 pages) and RR edited it down to a reasonable length.

I don't get the joke about Miller being visionary. It seems to be a dig at him but I've never seen him seriously referred to in that manner.  Not in trailers or anywhere. Maybe I am missing something?

There are worse flops than Gynysys, with higher domestic share it could even have had a sequel.
