That fine as long as is picking a female director because she is the right director for a project, and not just to make a social statement, no matter how much I might agree with the statement being made.

S.J. Clarkson to the rescue...and to make up for her Trek project not going ahead.  I expect her to be back working for [Real] Marvel sometime soon, whether it's for this or something else on Disney +.

A couple of rumors that Feige is looking in house and might approach Karen Gillan to direct....though this might just be a sort of spinoff from GIllan being approached by DC to star in and direct the Batgirl movie.

GIllan would be an interesting choice, her first film as director, "THe Party's Just Beginning" was well reviewed and well received. But my betting is DC has a better offer with a staring role as well as a opportunity to direct a big movie.

Now that we know about Wanda twins on a alternate reality, I would love if she was the actual villain trying to "save" her family no matter the cost. 

 

Of course it would still have a happy ending with everyone alive and good, though.
