Final day jump is big. Shows are filling up. 20m+ previews is locked. i could even see 25m previews at this point. bumping up my OW prediction to 210m.

@captainwondyful my final update for Empire 25 as 1st shows start. I will be on the move and so may not be able to capture final updates for all the shows.

Beauty and the Beast (2017) had a 10.72 multi from previews. I'm assuming in today's climate we can't compare to that, right? What do you think @Porthos? @Charlie Jatinder? @captainwondyful? @Rthhome(worth a shot)?

Presales for Friday are really strong, looking like they will be well over CM and possibly it will go for a 60+ Friday, from that I'd say weekend would be in the 200 million range which would be about a 9.8x multi from say 20.5 million previews. That would be my guess.

My NYC Local

TLK (12 showings - 4 in the dreaded slowest selling  3D) as of  7pm WED

557/3228 = 17.26%  (July 17)

2.39 x 233 of TS4 (Wed -7:40pm)

I'll update this later this afternoon but from a look it seems to be filling up.  They just changed one of the 3Ds to a larger auditorium even though those are selling the slowest. - a clue they think walk ups will fill it.    That's typical of this location though (40%+ of AEG was 3D b/c they knew the seats would eventually sell).  This theater only converted to full reserve seating this last year and for the overwhelming majority of films is still very heavily walk up based.

OUATIH has sold 29 tickets over two showings for Thur previews

H&S have sold 33 over 4 showings including 2 RPX

NYC Local as of 6pm (except for the Fan Event when I stopped counting around 4:40pm)

TLK (7/18 6:PM)

RPX
(6pm) 165/320
(9pm) 128 /320

2D
(6:30pm) 210/301
(7:30pm)  144/257
(8:30pm) 136/255
(9:30pm) 99/301
(10:30pm) 37/257

3D

(7pm)  70/301
(8pm) 64/205
(10pm) 37 /301
(11pm) 28/205

FAN EVENT
(5pm) 130/205

1248/3228 =38.66%

So far a 120% increase from yesterday at 7pm.

Sorry, no comps for Aladdin or TS3 for Thur

FWTW: Thursday 3:30 - 4:30pm comps

4.588x X-Men 6: 272/942 = 28.87%

6.12 x Godz2: 204 / 2150 = 9.488%

6.67 x  Shazam!: 187 / 2229 = 8.3%

Just thought of something. Because we have that Fandango data point out, somebody can dig up the old Pulse data from earlier in this thread to get a ballpark of how TLK could be doing if it was still up.

I was thinking about that but since we don't know the daily distributions it's basically useless, plus the distance between CM and EG is enormous so it's not really that helpful

Yeah the one comp I had thought of possibly trying to get a feel for was I2. I feel like if TLK is outpacing CM on Fandango, it could be far ahead of I2.

I got all the screenshots of LS13 and Cinemagic. Probably won’t have a chance to do the comps in a chart before a number comes in.

Super strong. Still thinking 20M. The late shows are still dead.

Oh definitely. But walkups will probably be worse than I2 though. That movie had incredible buzz.

Sooooooo….. this is absolutely insane! I can’t believe I doubted 6500 yesterday!

I know this is a little repetitive, but NYC is exploding in sales this evening.
Any doubts I had about a 200 million OW are pretty much alleviated at this point. Things are already looking quite strong for tomorrow too.
Even if WOM is mixed, I don't think it will affect OW at this point, just legs. But it could also be well received by GA anyways. Exciting weekend ahead!

I'm really hoping TLK can at least sneak into the top 5 opening weekends. I don't mind if Avengers and Stars Wars continue to occupy the top 4 spots but anything above $210M I'll be thrilled with.
