Aside from the seemingly endless headache-inducing VFX fest in the climax I enjoyed Guardians 2 more than any Marvel joint in years. More than GOTG 1 too. Better humor, more visual imagination, less obvious soundtrack with some actual thought behind the selections (Suicide Squad and Kong Skull Island can fuck off even more so than before in this regard). Doesn't fall flat on its face in developing the whole fatherhood/family theme too. Beautiful ending. Surprised me after months of the trailers selling a lazy nothing of a movie.
